Me
Claire Ashley was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and now lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. She teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Department of Contemporary Practices, and Department of Painting and Drawing. She has an old husband, three young children, a dog, and two cats.
Her work inhabits the liminal space between painting, sculpture, and performance, using the language of abstraction, minimalism, and pop.
